Celebrating Jackson Browne
Today we celebrate singer, songwriter, major supporter of KPFK Radio and fearless activist Jackson Browne. Maggie LePique offered The Jackson Browne Spring into Summer Pack which includes "For Everyman" Vinyl (remastered) 180-gram Vinyl:
Downhill from Everywhere Tote Bags + Downhill from Everywhere Water Bottles. For Everyman is the second album by American singer-songwriter Jackson Browne, released in 1973 (see 1973 in music). The album peaked at number 43 on the Billboard 200 chart and the single "Redneck Friend" reached number 85 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
In 2012, the album was ranked number 450 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. Remastered in 2024. Also Jackson will be performing Fri October 31 and Sat. November 1, Wed. Nov. 5, Nov. Fri. Nov. 7 & Sat. Nov 8 Live at the

International Jazz Day!
Maggie & Stanley celebrate International Jazz Day. Stanley is a celebrated jazz bassist known for his innovative approach and pioneering work in fusion music. He began his career with classical bass training before transitioning to the electric bass and making it a prominent solo instrument. Clarke is best known for his work with Return to Forever and The Clarke/Duke Project, as well as his collaborations with other jazz luminaries and his extensive film and television scoring career. Clarke is the recipient of five Grammy Awards, with 15 nominations, three as a solo artist, one with the Stanley Clarke Band, and one with Return to Forever. Clarke was selected to become a 2022 recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Masters Fellowship.
