At today’s California Solartopia at KPFK 90.7fm/Los Angeles and the Solartopia Show broadcast worldwide at the Pacifica Affiliate Network, we go deep down to investigate a nuke being fought in Kansas.

With our reactor expert and co-host Kevin Kamps we interview Ann Suellentrop and Marjorie Reynolds, a pair of pediatric nurses fighting the insane proposal to bury and operate an atomic reactor a mile deep in a midwestern farming region.

Their Prairie Dog Alliance is working against a “micro-reactor” proposed for Parsons, Kansas, by murky corporations who avoid public hearings and refuse to submit their hidden plans to independent scrutiny.

Aside from there being no need for nuke power in the wind-swept plains, the perpetrators want to fill their borehole with workers who have no protective clothing and radioactive waste with nowhere to go.
